It Pays to Buy O’Fallon Campaign
The City of O’Fallon and the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring the “It Pays to Buy O’Fallon” campaign, that began on November 1, 2009.
The campaign encourages O’Fallon residents to do their holiday shopping in O’Fallon. For every dollar spent locally, about 40 cents remains in the local community supporting local jobs, funding community programs, and strengthening local businesses.
Small business owners are an important part of our community and during these difficult economic times, it’s more important than ever for citizens to support our local businesses.
Consumers (not restricted to O’Fallon residents) 18 years or older, are encouraged to participate. The campaign will run from November 1 – December 31, 2009. Participation is easy. After making a purchase at an O’Fallon business, simply bring your sales receipts to O’Fallon City Hall at 255 South Lincoln, or to the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce Office at 116 East First Street. Receipts will be verified and stamped and you will be given one entry ticket for every $100 spent. There is no limit on how many hundreds of dollars in receipts each entrant may submit. Utility bills, home purchases, or mortgage payments are not eligible.
Mayor Graham will draw the three winning entries during the O’Fallon City Council Meeting on January 4, 2010. Prizes include cash and merchandise.
Consumers have a choice—choose O’Fallon when shopping this holiday season.
