Wireless
The O’Fallon Public Library will soon be able to offer wireless Internet access to our patrons. If you have a notebook PC that has a wireless network interface card, you will be able to sit in the library and surf the Internet. Stay tuned for details!
Computer Classes
The O’Fallon Public Library offers a series of three classes, one per month, on the following subjects:
Beginner’s Internet: For those individuals that are just starting out
Basic Word: Basic information on how to get started using Microsoft Word
Library Databases: A tour of the different databases the library offers
Look for these classes to be advertised on our web site (www.ofallonlibrary.org), on signs in the library, and in the O’Fallon Progress, Belleville News-Democrat, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Downloadable Audio Books – Connect, Click, and Listen
The O’Fallon Public Library is part of Listen Illinois, a statewide project that makes downloadable audio books available to our cardholders. Download from home or anywhere you have Internet access and a PC! Transfer to your MP3! Listen in the car! Two collections of titles are up and available from NetLibrary and OverDrive. Log into the sites for title listings and further instructions. Log-in may require your library barcode and PIN number. Try a download today. Start at our web site, www.ofallonlibrary.org and look for the Listen Illinois information.
New Youth Services Director
The Board of Trustees of the O’Fallon Public Library are pleased to announce
the selection of Teri L. Rankin as Youth Services Director. A long-time employee and O’Fallon resident, Mrs. Rankin has excelled at a variety of library work. In December of last year, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Illinois. In her past employment, Mrs. Rankin has been a preschool teacher and Head of Youth Services for the Collinsville Public Library. Mrs. Rankin is replacing Anne Glasscock who retired July 1, 2006.
