Halloween Safety Tips for Kids
By following some simple safety tips, parents can rest assured that their children will remain safe and sound during the Halloween season.
· Make sure you have a clear view out of your mask
· Wear a reflective or glowing object or have a flashlight
· Wear light colored costumes which can easily be seen by motorists
· Stay within your neighborhood and visit only people you know
· Avoid streets with poor lighting
· Never walk the streets alone
· Never approach strangers in automobiles, especially at night
· Only trick or treat during the set time limits (6-9 p.m.)
· Before eating the treats, have someone check all of them
· Don’t eat treats that are not wrapped or if the wrapper is broken
