Strange Folk Arts Festival – Wiggins
Strange Folk Festival voted “best craft festival in St Louis” by River Front Times in 2008!
- Vendors; budget; security; web redesign
- Signs: Wine Tasting (with Rotary logo), Writers Block (w/library logo), “Live Blogging”
- Author Pavilion: Library getting the authors lined up. Jodi & Deor do cardboard “cityscape”. Jodi contact more authors/writers groups, Autumn ask vendors about authors
- Wine Tasting: Hours 2pm to 6pm. Cost? Glass or plastic? Bracelets for admission, DIY charms
- Bags, Postcards, Button (for taking survey) ordered by Autumn; Gnomes (decorations)?
- Student Art Display (Brad)
- Table & tent count
- Food vendors: $50 w/out electric, $75 w/electric, $100/kitchen space. All booths can include drinks.
- Little Jimmy’s Italian Ice (www.italianice.net)
- Sheridan's Frozen Custard (www.sheridansfrozencustard.com). Also lattes?
- One Hot Cookie
- Aston Concessions (funnel cakes, shaved ice, cotton candy, corn dogs, soft pretzels)

- Hours : 2pm to 6pm. Both days? Price per person? Bracelets?~ Presold at discount?~ Promotions ($1 off if you show vendor receipt?). Wines from Glen’s.
- Tent size, tables, chairs.
- SF provide materials for wine charms; Rotary provide “labor” to man the table where it occurs.
Decorations?~ (fyi: fest colors are red, dark green, light green, turqouise, sky blue)
- Upcycle Exchange booth will be run by Ecology Club (item to be sold by Club needs approval)
- “Instrument Petting Zoo”: signage, sponsor flyers, “Clarion Brass” performance?
- Sheep to Shawl demo by Artisans Guild of Southern Illinois; also alpacas, pottery, blacksmith.
- Author’s Pavilion
- Crafts for kids: Girl Scouts will also sell GS cookies
- Crafts for kids: Discovery School confirmed; craft TBD
- “Make Your Own Button” booth by “One Inch Pins” vendor: confirmed
- Cooking Demos by Chef Jeff confirmed.
- Boy Scouts: confirmed hot dog booth and help with recycling.
