You may have heard that Mayor Gary Graham is currently the President of the Illinois Municipal League (IML). Established in 1914, the Illinois Municipal League is the statewide organization for cities and villages throughout the state with the following priorities:
- Serves as a common meeting ground for all municipalities and municipal officials of the state.
- Provides a formal voice for Illinois municipalities in matters involving common interests, particularly legislative issues.
- Promotes competence and integrity in the administration of municipal government.
- Seeks a just balance between federal, state and municipal government.
- Offers services and programs that provide municipal officials the knowledge, experience and assistance necessary to best administer their duties.
The latest issue of the IML’s magazine, The Illinois Municipal Review, features an interview with Mayor Graham. The link is to a large PDF file and Mayor Graham’s interview is on Page 13.
It is an honor for the City of O’Fallon to be featured so prominently among Illinois cities. Mayor Graham will showcase our city as he serves his one-year term as IML President.
