Does the City have a business license requirement?
No, but we do require all businesses located within the City limits to register their business with the City. Per Ordinance #2031 of the City of O’Fallon Code of Ordinances, any business located within the city limits is required to register with the City. The registration is renewed annually on the anniversary date of the approval of the business. You may request the application from the Clerk’s office or click here for the online version.

Where can I find information about the laws of the City?
The Clerk’s office has all City ordinances on file. You may come into the office and search the Code of Ordinances or view the Code of Ordinances by clicking here.
Where can I get information on the cemetery?
You may purchase graves from the Clerk’s office, as well as obtaining information on where an individual is interred. The Rules and Regulations for the City Cemetery can be picked up from the Clerk’s office or by clicking here.
When does the City Council meet?
The City Council meets every 1st and 3rd Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. You may view a “live” telecast on Channel 10 Charter Cable.
Where do I go to request information?
You may obtain Freedom of Information request forms from the Clerk’s office or click here for the online version. The City will respond within five (5) days of the request.
Where can I go to register to vote?
You can register to vote at City Hall. The office hours are Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
The following requirements must be met in order to be eligible to register to vote:
w Must be a citizen of the United States.
w Must be eighteen (18) years old by election day.
w Must be a resident of the precinct for thirty (30) days as of the next election.
Note: Registrations cannot be taken within 28 days prior to an election.
Registering to vote:
You must provide two forms of identification, one with the current street address and an identification with a picture.
Transfer of voter registration:
A voter who is already registered within their County under his/her current name and who has moved from one address to another within the same county, may transfer that registration to the new address by completing the new information on the back of the voter registration card and sending it to the County Clerk’s office which is imprinted on the back of the voter registration card.
