The minimum age for a candidate interested in running for office is any qualified elector/registered voter. The candidate must have resided in the ward in which they are a candidate for alderman or have one year residency in the municipality preceding the consolidated election if running for the offices of Mayor, Clerk, or Treasurer (the offices for the Mayor, Clerk, and Treasurer for the current administration expire April 2013). The next consolidated election is scheduled for April 5, 2011 for the office of Alderman. One alderman will be elected from each of the seven wards. Exception: In Ward 4, one alderman will be elected for a four year full term and one will be elected for an unexpired two year term.
NOMINATING PETITIONS AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 21, 2010:
O’Fallon City Clerk Philip A. Goodwin announced that nominating petitions will be available in his office during regular business hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. –
5:00 p.m. beginning September 21, 2010 for those persons interested in running for the office of Alderman in the April 5, 2011 Consolidated Election.
Filing begins at 8:00 a.m. on December 13, 2010 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on
