Approval of the minutes from March 24, 2008
Item A: LOSAP Resolution: Director of Finance presented for consideration an amendment to the O’Fallon Volunteer Fire Department Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP). It gives consideration to those volunteers who had served at least 10 years before program started and might be forced to leave before they were vested at five years. It allows them to take their money in respect to the long service. Motion by True, Second by Grogan. All Ayes.
Item B: Lease/Purchase Agreement: Annual update required by lease agreements. Allows the Director of Finance to lease vehicle and equipment as approved in the budget. Motion by Medford, Second by True. All Ayes.
Item C: Council Packets: Chairman West initiated a review of the current council packet process. Chief Betten determined the approximate cost to be $17.00 per meeting. Several comments resulted in further study starting with trying a paperless packet with Alderman Schmidt.
Item D: TIF Update: All data for the drainage survey has been delivered, the TIF map is complete and the major item remaining is a status update meeting with the developer interested in building offices on the front part of the property. Alderman Drolet asked about the developer’s plans and it was determined they would not be complete for several more weeks but will be presented to the Committee before the council is asked to vote on the TIF.
Item E: End of Year Review: Director of Finance briefed that barring any unforeseen action in the next 3 days; the City would finish in the black when the books are closed on April 30th.
