The O'Fallon Fire Department protects a 44 square-mile area which includes the City of O'Fallon, the Village of Shiloh and the rural areas of O'Fallon, Shiloh Valley, and Caseyville Townships. The department is lead by a full-time chief with 42 highly dedicated volunteers. O'Fallon Fire operates out of three engine houses and an administrative building. Citizens are protected with 15 pieces of apparatus which include 2-ladder trucks, 3-engines, heavy rescue squad, 2-brush trucks, 3-command vehicles, 2-support trucks, and a haz mat / tech rescue trailer. The
department currently has an ISO Class 4 rating.
The O'Fallon Fire Department strives to reduce emergency incidents through Fire Prevention Education. In addition to community training activities, the department utilizes a 1949 Mack Fire Engine, Fire Safety Smoke House, and portable Slide Pole to help teach the fire safety message.
