About the Consortium
The Southwestern Illinois Joint Fire & Police Recruitment & Testing Consortium was formed in August 1998 with the expressed purpose of providing recruitment and testing services to member communities*. In addition, the Consortium serves as a forum for discussion, study, development, and/or implementation of ideas or plans of mutual interest and concern regarding the recruitment, application, and testing of candidates for the member fire and police departments.
* Presently, the Consortium consists of the following member communities: Collinsville , Edwardsville, Fairview Heights, Highland, and O'Fallon.
Each Consortium community offers a competitive annual salary in addition to overtime pay increases. Medical insurance, life insurance, a retirement program, plus college incentive pay is also available.
