David was appointed as an Alderman in Ward 7 in July 2009.
He is originally from Springfield, Ohio and first became an O’Fallon resident in 1982 as an airman stationed at Scott AFB. A military transfer required a move in 1984 to Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS. Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1988, he returned to O’Fallon. David and his wife, Lynda, have three children: Ryan, an OTHS & University of Illinois graduate, Katelyn, a current student at OTHS, and Tyler, a current student at Fulton Junior High School.
David holds degrees from Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio, the Community College of the Air Force, and the University of Southern Mississippi in Gulfport, MS. He is currently employed as the Internet Marketing Manager for Concordia Publishing House (CPH), St. Louis, and is responsible for all online activities related to promoting and selling CPH’s products and services to support The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS).
As the parent of three children, David has served in several different community activities. He has volunteered as an O’Fallon Booster Baseball and Soccer Coach, Grade School Room Dad, Boy Scouts Leader, OTHS Marching Panthers Band Parent, O’Fallon Food Pantry, Touch of Nature, YMCA Volunteer, and Neighborhood Student Mentor.
David is also very active at church in various rolls of leadership and service. He has served as both a Youth and Adult Sunday School Leader, Summer Camp Leader, Youth Van Chauffer, Financial Secretary, Small Group Leader, and Stewardship Chairman.
Over the past 24 years, David has lived and experienced the values and traditions that attract people to choose to live in O’Fallon. He wants to help maintain these values and traditions while planning for the continued growth of O’Fallon - the best place to live in the St. Louis Metropolitan area as well as Southern Illinois.
