	Richie Meile was elected as an alderman in Ward 1 on April 5, 2011. Richie and his wife Lisa moved to O’Fallon in 1987. Lisa is employed by Missouri Baptist Medical Center as a Benefits Coordinator. Richie is employed as a Supervisor by the St. Clair County Highway Department where he oversees 32 employees and maintains 286 miles of county roads which consists of snow removal and road repairs. Richie graduated from Assumption High School in East St. Louis in 1966, and also attended SWIC and SIUE. Richie is a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. Since 2002 he has served as Vice-Chairman of St. Clair County Transit District. He is involved in a neighborhood watch program and an active member of St. Clare Church.
