 Steve was elected Ward 6 Alderman in April 2007. He is originally from Morgantown, Kentucky and has been a resident of O’Fallon since 1989. He and his wife,
Terry, along with their daughter Jamie, decided to make O’Fallon their hometown because of the wonderful small town atmosphere and the outstanding school system.
After graduating from high school in 1978, Mr. Engler joined the US Air Force. In 1998, he retired from the Air Force after a career as a law enforcement officer in the Security Forces and as a management analyst. After leaving military service, Mr. Engler rejoined the federal government as a management analyst and is employed with an organization at Scott AFB, Illinois. Over the years he has supported various community support organizations in the capacity of a board member, trustee, and member-at-large. His hobbies include american military history and woodworking. He has a Bachelors Degree in Management of Human Resources and an Associates Degree in Personnel Administration. He is currently completing his Masters Degree in International Relations.
