John has been a Ward 7 alderman since 1999.
He and his wife, Shirley, a retirement specialist, have five children, the youngest is a student at O’Fallon Township High School.
John worked as a mathematics teacher at Belleville Area College (now SWIC) for 35 years before his retirement in 1999 upon election to this position.
John earned his MA from St. Louis University.
John chaired the committee that developed an investment policy for O’Fallon.
He is currently the chair of the Finance and Administration Committee and also serves on the Public Works Committee.
John says "O’Fallon is a great place to live". As an alderman he will take every opportunity to get feedback from residents on how they want to be represented. He will do his best to listen and make decisions based on residents’ behalf and for the good of the community as a whole.
