A Weekly Note from Mayor Gary L. Graham
“Traditional Values, Progressive Thinking”
The City’s annual O’Fallon Night with the Cardinals will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007 with the Cardinals playing the Chicago Cubs at 2:55 p.m. I encourage everyone to get your family and friends together for a fun afternoon of Cardinal baseball!
Once again, we have selected the Cardinals vs. the Chicago Cubs game. The match-up of these two teams always proves to be an exciting game. The City has 300 tickets available at a cost of $24 each ($39 face value) and may be purchased at City Hall. Tickets will be offered to O’Fallon residents first, and seats will be reserved in the order in which they are received. Due to the enormous success of last year’s sales, O’Fallon will have preferential seating this year in Section 268 (Outfield Loge Box).
Red Bird Express roundtrip tickets will also be available at City Hall at a cost of $5 for adults and $2 for children between the ages of five and 12. Any senior citizen purchasing advance tickets to the game will be able to ride the Red Bird Express absolutely free. The Red Bird Express will board at the O’Fallon Depot on First Street.
Tickets usually sell quickly for O’Fallon Night; so if you are interested in purchasing single or group tickets, or if you need additional information, please contact Rebecca Karras at O’Fallon City Hall, at 624-4500, extension 9-1109. Payment for tickets should be in checks only and should be made payable to the City of O’Fallon.
This event is great publicity for the City of O’Fallon. It builds community spirit and is a fun and exciting afternoon for citizens, club members, businesses, and employees. Please join us on April 28th for a fun afternoon of Cardinal Baseball. This annual community event is another example of why O’Fallon is such a great community in which to live.
