A Weekly Note from Mayor Gary L. Graham
“Traditional Values, Progressive Thinking”
Mayor James A. Vernier, II and I are excited to announce that the O’Fallon and Shiloh Chambers of Commerce have merged, effective February 15, 2010.
The merger of the two chambers is a great opportunity for both O’Fallon and Shiloh businesses to work together to make our local region even stronger during these difficult economic times.
The alliance of the two chambers will allow for better focus on the local region’s businesses as well as the individual communities. A larger membership will combine some increase in dues revenue without significantly increasing expenses, eliminate the need for dual membership, and increase networking opportunities for members.
“Combining the two groups into one will expand the ability of the chamber to promote our region and encourage economic development that will be mutually benficial for businesses in O’Fallon and Shiloh,” said Mayor Vernier.
The allied chamber’s name will be the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce.
“Both the O’Fallon and the Shiloh Chambers of Commerce Boards of Directors are eager to begin working together to promote business and econimic growth in our local region,” said Ken Diel, O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce Board President.
For additional information about the merger, please contact Debbie Arell-Martinez at the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber at 632-3377.
