To celebrate the relationships people have with their four-legged best friends, the Beneful® brand has created the WagWorldTM Dream Dog Park Contest. A $500,000 makeover will be awarded to one lucky dog park!
Tell the contest organizers what your Dream Dog Park at Rock Springs Park in O’Fallon would look like. The winner of the contest (and their best buddy) will win $5,000 cash and a year’s supply of Beneful® brand dog food.
I encourage our residents to come up with creative ideas about what their ultimate dream dog park at Rock Springs Park would look like. It would be wonderful if one of our residents won the contest and we were able to incorporate their ideas into our dog park.
Here’s what you need to do to enter (see Official Rules for complete details):
Make a video:
Video should not exceed two minutes in length, and should answer the question: If you had $500,000 to create a Dream Dog Park for you and your best buddy, what would you do?
The video should be narrated by the Entrant and show the Entrant and his/her dog at a local dog park (a dog park is any contained public area where dog owners may allow their dogs to run off leash). The video should show the Entrant’s daily adventure together with his/her dog in the dog park and explain the Entrant’s idea(s) to make it even better if they won the chance to create their dream dog park.
Write an essay:
Tell us how your idea will enhance the relationship you have with your dog. The essay should be 100 words or less (one to 100 words) explaining how a makeover of your neighborhood dog park to create your Dream Dog Park could enhance your daily adventure with your dog. Essay must be written in English.
Enter by June 18, 2010
Voting will begin on the entries soon after June 18 and will run through August 11. Please mark your calendars to return to the web site at http://www.dreamdogpark.wagworld.com after June 18 to vote on your favorite O’Fallon entry. The winner will be announced sometime in September.
Contests are a great way to get our residents involved in their community, and this contest is no exception. We constantly strive to make O’Fallon the best city in the Metro East and your involvement in this contest will provide us with new, creative ideas and insight. The opportunity to participate in this contest is yet another example of why O’Fallon is such a great community in which to live.
