Missoula Children's Theatre Event
1. Final budget still pending from Parks Dept.
2. Next year’s dates booked: April 25-30, 2005 “The Tales of Hans Christian Anderson”.
Streetside Banner Project: Competition banners are up in select locations.
Youth Theatre Camp (Backyard Playhouse): Camp completed, successful performance, Progress article! Review event.
Sesquicentennial: Arts Commission P.R.!
a. Poster for each project/subcommittee: please submit photos, flyers, media articles etc.
b. Postcard sales & giveaway with Commemorative Stamp
c. Cut out figures (?) & flyers
Arts Festival
2004 Festival Flyer: need by July 26th (for 150th etc)…..
Create our own signage for Hwy 50 display?
Additional Cut outs successfully completed!
a. Need to paint edges (face cutouts and outside edges).
b. Calvin’s guys will apply polyeurythane and will make “steps” for new and some of the existing---in time for Aug 13?
c. Need to obtain & attach clear “flyer holders” in time for 150th event too (Aug 13).
Art Show: Dick Blick will reply next week. Artspace declined. Cocktail/opening reception tied to Nimbus play Friday night?
Taste of O’Fallon: approve letter/intent form to send out
Inflatable slide booked: “Spiderman”
Professional Artists: Mural Artist: project? And…2 others from Lacey?
Confirmed Artists: Lu Behrens: Stone Sculpture (or clay trolls) “Rock Party”
Karen Snow: Hand-painting on silk
Alicia Scolarici: pastels/oils
Sound system & keyboard confirmed?
Entertainment Pavilion:
Confirmed: Sarah Marsh (Central) to conduct all first graders (National Anthem).
“Celebrities”: Winona Judd, Johnny Cash, Donna Summer, Janis Joplin

Judges for Celeb Contest: Molly Ramsey & Nicole Bitner (also MC?)

"Antiquities" photos in (period) costumes as revenue for Parks/Arts Festival?
“Trolley Car” rides? Alternate vendor located by Mary Jeanne?
Progress wants to do story on Nimbus original play. Fri night/Sat afternoon showings are planned; final script pending to Lin.
Promotions: Family Fun Magazine, Marketplace Magazine, BND Fall Festivals Calendar, Festival Net Online, SW IL Tourism Bureau/Oct Happenings.
Outstanding Ideas/action items? (suggestions from past meeintgs or emails):
a. Sell Festival t-shirts then have area where people can color in logos.
b. Banner: “Destination: World’s Fair 1904”.
c. Fair Trivia: small signs on posts all over Festival grounds.
d. Interactive theater games, improve, teach folk dance, etc…..film it then show on TV.
e. Pursue potential sponsors, “Formalizing” Donation levels
f. Air Sculpture (Community project)
g. Art Club: Hand Print project complete before or during Festival?
h. Video?
Art Booths and Concessions (PTO & other nonprofit participation): schedule “second chance” presentation date?
Possible video (prep and Festival) for website & TV: TBD.
