SWIBL will be offering a fall league for 2010.  Total cost will be $175 which will cover field usage fee, web site, admin, etc.  You will also have to pay $40 at the plate before each game to cover the expense of one umpire.  NOTE:  Both teams will be paying the $40 and we will have two patched umpires at each game.

The league is set up in two divsions:  9/10 and 11/12.  You have the option of playing in the age group which you participated during the 2010 season or playing at your 2011 age group.  We will not be sanctioning the fall league as I don't really see the need or point in spending the extra money to sanction.  We have capacity for a maximum of 12 teams in each division and the spots will be awarded according to who gets their entry form in and fees paid.  the 9/10 group will primarily play on Thursdays at 6pm and we will also have some Sunday slots at well (game times of 12, 2 and 4).  the 11/12 group will play on Sundays at 12, 2 or 4pm.  There will be a maximum of 10 games in the schedule and we will start on August 29 and conclude sometime in the middle of October.  We will also have an optional tournament at the end for those interested (additional fee for this)

Fall League Basic Information
  • Games will be played at the O’fallon Sports Park on Thursdays and Sundays.  There are some times where the Sunday venue will change due to tournaments that are taking place and coaches will be notified well in advance of the venue change.
  • Thursday game times will be 6pm and Sunday game times will be 12:00pm, 2:00pm and 4:00pm
  • Season will begin on August 29 and end in the middle of October.  Any games that get rained out will be pushed to the end of the season.  We will probably have a Saturday or Sunday at the end where we can make games up.
  • Total of 10 games will be played
  • All games will be 6 innings in length and will have a 1:50 time limit.  This means that the clock will start once teams take the field to start the game and no inning shall start after 1:50 has elapsed.
  • The umpires will be hired by SWIBL and each team will be responsible for paying one umpire $40 at the plate BEFORE the game begins.  If a team cannot pay the umpire before the game starts then that team will forfeit the game.
  • Each team will be responsible for providing one NEW baseball for each game
  • The 2010 version of the USSSA rule book will be followed with the following exception:
  • Coaches are asked to remove a pitcher from pitching once he has reached a maximum of 70 pitches in any game or day
  • It is the responsibility of the coaches and parents to monitor how much any player pitches in single game or day
  • Once a pitcher is removed from a game he can no longer pitch in that game.
  • Run limit will be per the USSSA rule book (15 after 3, 12 after 4 and 8 after 5)
  •  There will an optional tournament at the end of the league play for those teams interested in playing (additional fee for those who wish to play and will be determined later).
  •  Paid fees are non-refundable.
