Miss O'Fallon Scholarship Pageant 2011

The role of Miss O’Fallon has grown significantly since 1919. Our Queen is a true representative of the City of O’Fallon attending ribbon cutting ceremonies, speaking at City Council meetings, attending Veterans Day and Memorial Day events, speaking at O’Fallon grade schools, assisting with the O.U.S.A.R.T., needy children’s Christmas Party and attending various other events in neighboring communities.
The “Miss O’Fallon Scholarship Pageant” is sponsored by the City of O’Fallon, under the Parks and Recreation Department. Pageant date is Friday, July 29th, 2011 at the O’Fallon Township High School Auditorium. Deadline for contestant sign-ups will be mid June. There is a mandatory information meeting on Wednesday, June 15th at 6:30pm at the Rock Springs Nature Center located at 1428 E. Third Street in O'Fallon.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH CONTESTANT:
1. Female
2. Age 17 (by December of current year), and not to exceed the age of 21
3. Must live within the OTHS School Boundaries, District 203
4. Never have been married or be married during year of your reign
5. Never have had children
6. Must be available for personal appearances and functions. If going away to school, must be able to return (at your own expense) for ribbon cuttings, parades, reading nights and council meetings.
7. Must be of a high moral character and must conduct herself in a manner befitting a representative of the City of O’Fallon
8. Must be available for the scheduled rehearsals prior to the pageant.
9. Must submit an un-official High School transcript with activities.
10. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
11. Must submit 1 letter of recommendation from a non-family member (i.e. teacher, counselor or employer)
