Q. How do I obtain a copy of a police report or traffic crash?
A. Upon completion, these documents may be obtained from our records division Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM. A $5.00 fee applies for traffic crash reports; traffic crash reports can also be purchased online at www.tracview.com. All other reports are $10.00.
Q. What is the local ordinance concerning curfew for young people?
A. It is unlawful for persons under the age of 17 to be present in a public place, building, street or highway at the listed times, unless accompanied and supervised by a parent, legal guardian or other responsible companion at least 21 years of age, approved by a parent or legal guardian or unless engaged in a business or occupation which the laws of this state authorize a person less than 17 years of age to perform:
1. Between 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Saturday.
2. Between 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Sunday.
3. Between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. any other weekday.
Q. Is it possible to make a police report by telephone?
A. It is currently not the practice of our department to take reports by phone. An officer will respond to your residence or you may come to the Police Department to file a report.
Q. How do I arrange for a tour of the Police Department?
A. Simply call the non-emergency number (624-4545) and request a tour. The Police Department makes every effort to accommodate requested dates and times.
Q. How do I check on the status of a case I have reported?
A. It is best to have the reporting officer’s name when you make your request. The report/case can be located without that information but this would expedite the process. The reporting officer or assigned detective will return your call. Please understand that officers work rotating shifts and may not be working for a day or two of your request.

Q. Who do I contact concerning nuisance complaints like high weeds, derelict vehicles and animal complaints?
A. Complaints concerning animals should be made to the police department non-emergency number (624-4545). Other nuisance complaints should be reported the Zoning Inspectors Office at 624-4500 Ext. 4-1318.
