The O'Fallon Police Traffic Safety Unit (TSU) was formed because of a need to address the traffic safety concerns in O'Fallon. The TSU consists of four Patrol Officers and one Patrol Sergeant acting as the coordinator. These officers are dedicated to the following aspects of traffic safety:
* Traffic Crash Investigatons
* Impaired Driving Enfocement (DUI)
* Speeding Violations Enforcement
* Occupant Restraint Violations (Seat Belt/Child Safety Seats)
* Traffic Related Studies
* Public Information
The TSU objective is to coordinate with members of the O'Fallon Police Department and O'Fallon Residents to take a proactive approach to traffic safety. The goal is to reduce traffic accidents and obtain voluntary complaince by the motorists within our city.
