The O’Fallon Police Traffic Safety Unit has developed a “Traffic Safety Yard Sign Program” with the assistance of O’Fallon resident, Mrs. Jennifer Stoner. The Traffic Safety Unit (TSU) will begin distributing signs to interested O’Fallon residents in an effort to decrease the speeds of vehicles in their neighborhoods. This type of program gets our community involved in traffic safety and these signs have proven to be very effective in other communities.
Mrs. Stoner was the first O’Fallon resident to test this program. She was overwhelmed about the decrease in speeding vehicles on her street. O’Fallon residents can now request these signs in their neighborhood. Approved residents will be responsible for placing & retrieving these signs in a variety of locations in their area. These signs will be an obvious warning sign to “SLOW DOWN” in their neighborhood.
