Alderman Allen Medford Week
October 19 - 24, 2009
O’Fallon, Illinois – October 20, 2009 -- Mayor Gary L. Graham and the City Council have issued a Proclamation declaring the week of October 19-24, 2009 as Alderman Allen Medford Week. The Proclamation further extends appreciation to Mr. Medford for his exemplary dedication to the community.
“Allen has been a sterling example to all with his strong commitment and resolve to make O’Fallon the best community that it can be,” said Mayor Graham. “He will be greatly missed by all who had an opportunity to work with him, learning from his example, wisdom and experience.”

After retiring from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel, Allen Medford moved to O’Fallon in 1993 when his wife, CeCe, accepted a civil service position at Scott Air Force Base.
When someone wanted to put in a racetrack on the east side of town in the mid-90’s, Alderman Medford began attending committee meetings and council meetings, getting to know city staff and officials.
He first ran for office in 1997 and has never looked back. Through his dedicated service on the Community Development and Public Works Committees, Alderman Medford has accomplished many things for both the citizens of Ward 4 and the O’Fallon commity as a whole.
