NEWS FROM O’FALLON CITY HALL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Updated Street Resurfacing Schedule
O’Fallon, Illinois – June 13, 2007 – As part of our Capital Improvements Plan, we began performing street work on May 29th. The street improvements consist of road milling, application of prime and sand, and asphalt resurfacing.
The updated street schedule (subject to change depending on the weather or equipment failures) appear below:
June 13 Milling: Amy, Aladar, Loblolly, Shingle Pine, Rutherford Ridge, Thornbury Place, Victoria, Coachlight, and Chiswick
June 15 – 18 Paving: Country Oaks, Kensington Place, Oak Hollow Court, Oak Meadow Court, Oak Ridge Court, Oak Creek Court, and Royal Oak Court
June 19 Paving: Amy, Aladar, Loblolly, Shingle Pine, Rutherford Ridge
June 20 Paving: Thornbury Place, Victoria, Coachlight, and Chiswick
Residents are asked to please park their vehicles in locations other than the street until the asphalt resurfacing work is complete. During the overlay project, the ability to use the section of roadway under construction will be temporarily limited. Please be aware that passage along this section may be impossible at times, but trash pick-up services, etc. will not be disrupted and normal access will be allowed during non-working hours. Extra caution should be taken during this time to avoid damaging the road along with other surrounding surfaces, such as your vehicle, due to the fresh oil that will be present. For current updates, please tune to Charter Cable Channel 10 or visit the City’s website at www.ofallon.org.
“We kindly ask our residents to be patient and considerate during this improvement project. To the maximum extent possible, we are trying to minimize the inconvenience caused by the project and are dedicated to making the situation as painless as possible. However, it is impossible to completely eliminate all the frustration that drivers and citizens experience, and we ask for your understanding and patience,” said Mayor Gary L. Graham.
