FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Family Sports Park Ball Field Lights
O’Fallon, Illinois – July 3, 2007 – The installation of the ball field lights at the new Family Sports Park is complete and the electrical contractor has officially begun the 100 hour burn-in period. In order to correctly break-in the new lights and set the photometrics, they are each required to burn for a 100 hour period. The burn-in of the remaining lights will occur in sections over the next month.
“The burn-in process for the new lights is a critical part of the break-in process and is required to make certain the lights operate at their optimal capacity. We are always conservative when using power in our parks and carefully monitor usage so that taxpayer dollars are spent effectively”, said Mary Jeanne Hutchison, Director of Parks and Recreation.
