Winter Weather Awareness Week
November 11 – 17, 2007
O’Fallon, Illinois – November 13, 2007 – Mayor Gary L. Graham, along with the National Weather Service (NWS) and the Illinois Emergency Management Association (IEMA), would like to announce that the week of November 11th through 17th is Winter Weather Awareness Week. Wednesday, November 14th is designated as Winter Weather Awareness Day.
The goal of this week is to create more awareness to the dangers of winter weather and for residents to review procedures on how to properly prepare themselves, others, and their belongings.
“With winter weather soon approaching, I encourage individuals to prepare themselves for the upcoming winter season,” said Mayor Graham.
