Family Sports Park Ball Field Lights
O’Fallon, Illinois – January 25, 2008 – The electrical contractor for the installation of the ball field lights at the new Family Sports Park is currently in the process of replacing the lamps and performing another 100 hour burn-in period. In order to correctly break-in the new lights and set the photometrics, they are each required to burn for 100 hours.
During fall league play it was determined that the original lamps did not meet O’Fallon Parks and Recreation specifications due to a manufacturing defect. All costs for the new lamps as well as the electricity required for the burn-in period will be paid by the lamp manufacturer. The burn-in period will begin on Monday, January 28.
