NEWS FROM O’FALLON CITY HALL
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Revised Street Resurfacing Schedule
O’Fallon, Illinois – April 11, 2008 – As part of our Capital Improvements Plan, we will be performing street work beginning on April 11. The street improvements will consist of road milling, application of prime and sand, and asphalt resurfacing.
The revised schedule for streets scheduled for improvement and the timeframe (subject to change depending on the weather or equipment failures) for each appear below:
April 11 - 18: Rutherford Ridge, Tetherwood, Red Fox, Amberleaf, Blackberry, Plumtree, Woodland, and Fairwood Hills
April 15 – 22: East Jefferson and Park Entrance
April 21 – 25: Sunnyside, Center Grove, Countryside, Hillcrest, Mill, Wintergreen, and Rain Hollow
April 28 – May 2: Walnut, Nancy, Griffin Gate, Aladar, Amy, Affirm, Thomas, Colleen, and Donna
May 5 – 13: Edna, Agnes, Annice, Lakewood, Melissa, and Shoreline
Residents are asked to please park their vehicles in locations other than the street until the asphalt resurfacing work is complete. During the overlay project, the ability to use the section of roadway under construction will be temporarily limited. Please be aware that passage along this section may be impossible at times, but trash pick-up services, etc. will not be disrupted and normal access will be allowed during non-working hours. Extra caution should be taken during this time to avoid damaging the road along with other surrounding surfaces, such as your vehicle, due to the fresh oil that will be present. For current updates, please tune to Charter Cable Channel 10 or visit the City’s website at www.ofallon.org.
“We kindly ask our residents to be patient and considerate during this improvement project. To the maximum extent possible, we will try to minimize the inconvenience caused by the project and are dedicated to making the situation as painless as possible. However, it is impossible to completely eliminate all the frustration that drivers and citizens experience, and we ask for your understanding and patience,” said Mayor Gary L. Graham.
