O’Fallon-Troy Road Reconstruction Project
O’Fallon, Illinois – June 23, 2010 – Beginning Monday, June 28, the St. Clair County Highway Department will begin reconstruction work on O’Fallon-Troy Road. The roadway will be reconstructed from just south of Bethel School Road to Scott-Troy Road and will be completed in phased sections.
The first phase of construction will occur from approximately 1,000 feet south of Bethel School Road up to the Bethel School Road intersection. This roadway section will be closed, and motorists should be ready for potential delays at the intersection of Bethel and O’Fallon-Troy Road.
The entire project will take more than one year to complete. The project is under the supervision of the St. Clair County Highway Department and the prime contractor is Thiems Construction of Edwardsville.
“We kindly ask our residents to be patient and considerate during this major reconstruction project”, said Mayor Gary L. Graham. “The St. Clair County Highway Department and their contractor will try to minimize the inconvenience caused by this project and are dedicated to making the situation as painless as possible. However, it is impossible to completely eliminate all the frustration that drivers and citizens will experience. We ask for your understanding and patience.”
