FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Highway 50/Frontage Road/Salem Place Overlay Project
O’Fallon, Illinois – June 24, 2010 – Beginning Monday, June 28, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will begin their road overlay project in the following areas: Highway 50 from Venita Drive (IHOP Restaurant) to Scott-Troy Road in O’Fallon, on Salem Place Drive in Fairview Heights from Illinois Route 159 to Old Collinsville Road, and the Frontage Road from Old Collinsville Road to Venita Drive.
Motorists may encounter lane closures while this project is underway. According to IDOT, these closurers are required so crews can safely resurface the roadway. The project is expected to be completed by late fall. The contractor for the project is Christ Brothers Asphalt, Inc. of Lebanon.
“We kindly ask our residents to be patient and considerate during this paving project”, said Mayor Gary L. Graham.
