O’Fallon-Troy Road Reconstruction Project Update
O’Fallon, Illinois – July 9, 2010 – Beginning on July 12, dependent upon weather, another section of O’Fallon-Troy Road will be closed for reconstruction. This area will begin east of Seven Hills Road (Weil Road) for approximately one-half mile. This section of road closure and reconstruction is in addition to the area under reconstruction occurring at the end of North Lincoln near the intersection of Bethel and O’Fallon-Troy Roads.
The entire project will take more than one year to complete. The project is under the supervision of the St. Clair County Highway Department and the prime contractor is Thiems Construction of Edwardsville.
“We kindly ask our residents to be patient and considerate during this major reconstruction project”, said Mayor Gary L. Graham. “The St. Clair County Highway Department and their contractor will try to minimize the inconvenience caused by this project and are dedicated to making the situation as painless as possible. However, it is impossible to completely eliminate all the frustration that drivers and citizens will experience. We ask for your understanding and patience.”
