The City of O'Fallon is currently involved in a redevelopment of a comprehensive emergency operations plan. The Asset Tracking Forms are simply a format to document and make immediately available, resources held by each of the organizations or individuals involved in the process.
This program is intended to support and guide a local community planning team through a process of creating a preparedness plan that is current, multi-disciplined, and working toward national compliance. It is being provided by the Regional Institute for Community Policing in collaboration with the Illinois Municipal League (IML) through the Elected Officials Committee of the Illinois Governor’s Terrorism Task Force. The overall goal of the program is to provide participants with information to help their community become stronger and better prepared to respond to any kind of disaster or major incident. This information will enhance the ability of the community response team to make sound, emergency decisions. This program will create a context in which all existing community resources are incorporated into a
community-specific emergency plan that is aligned and compliant with national, state and county standards. Participants will have the opportunity to explore their own personal ideas about homeland security and community safety as they apply it to their relationship with the community planning team.
