MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the O’Fallon Public Works Department to achieve the highest possible quality of life for our residents and customers through effective planning, management, operation and maintenance of the City’s infrastructure serving O’Fallon, Fairview Heights and Shiloh by all available means.
DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS
Overall operation, maintenance and capital improvement program for the public infrastructure, consisting of water distribution system, sanitary sewer collection system, sanitary sewer treatment system, stormwater collection system, streets and facilities as well as storage, manipulation and dissemination of all information related to infrastructure for the Department, City management and public consumption.
The Engineering, Operations and MIS (Management Information Systems) Groups comprise the Department of Public Works.
CURRENT or COMING SOON PROJECTS:
(Construction Period: September 2011 - December 2012)
Construction will be in phases from the OTHS Milburn Campus to Simmons Road beginning sometime spring 2012. New storm sewer, curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, sidewalks, and a roundabout at the Milburn Estates-Merriam Parkway-Milburn School Rd intersection will be installed in this project. Utility Compaines are busy resolving conflicts. Please use caution in the area.
(Construction Period: May 2011 - August 2011)
The design is finalized and scheduled for Contract Letting in January. Construction is anticipated in Summer 2012.
~ Second Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement
Construction is complete. Lateral tie-ins is ongoing. Pavement to be done in Spring 2012.
~Matthew Drive Stormwater Project
(Construction Period: September 2011 - May 2012)
Completed.
~ Jamestowne Culvert Project
Completed.
