1. In the past, home maintenance or assistance with modifying an existing home for elder adults has been accomplished by submitting a letter of need to one of the Cities many charitable organizations.
2. Within the City there are areas in which seniors can receive subsidized living. One of these conveniently designed senior living facilities is Cambridge House, where an emphasis is placed on maintaining ones health, wellness, dignity and independence. Cambridge House receives all of its subsidies directly from the State of Illinois and can be contacted at 618-624-9900.
3. Trash pickup which is contracted out by the City is designed to be less labor intensive. All residents are provided trash carts to easily remove waste.
