We have a new alderman on the O’Fallon City Council. At the June 6, 2016 City Council meeting, Mayor Gary Graham appointed Matthew Gilreath to fill the Ward 3 Alderman seat that was vacated by the resignation of long-time Alderman Jerry Mouser. Gilreath will serve until the municipal elections on April 4, 2017.

Matthew Gilreath grew up in O’Fallon and adds some youth to the City Council. He is the General Manager of the Chick-Fil-A Restaurant in Belleville and has been active in the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce. In fact, he was given the Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Impact Award in 2016.

This is an exciting time to be on the O’Fallon City Council. There are many projects underway that will profoundly benefit the community: St. Elizabeth’s Medical Campus, McKendree Rec-Plex, and the Visionary Wealth Advisors Office Building, to name a few. The vision and leadership of Mayor Graham and the City Council over the last 15 years have produced a premier community where people have the opportunity to start a successful business, live in safe community, and enjoy an outstanding quality of life.
