Mark Morton

Mark was elected Alderman for Ward 4 in April 2017.

Mark is a lifelong resident of O’Fallon. Between his grandfather and father building houses in town, his father previously serving as Mayor, participating in local sports and scouting programs, and meeting the love of his life in O’Fallon, his love and passion for the O’Fallon community run deep.

Growing up in O’Fallon, both Mark and his wife, Lauren, were blessed to receive an excellent education through the efforts of local teachers and the O’Fallon public school system. Mark graduated OTHS with honors before attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Following completion of his bachelor’s degree, Mark attended graduate school at Southern Illinois Carbondale and earned a Master of Business Administration. In addition to his educational degrees, Mark holds a Series 79 license.

After graduate school, Mark joined a specialty corporate lending division with the fifth largest commercial bank in the U.S. Today, Mark serves as a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager managing a $500MM+ loan portfolio for clients in the Media, Communications, and Beverage Industries.

Mark is married to his best friend, Lauren, and is a member of Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, IL. Also, he is a member of O’Fallon Lodge 576 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and the Ainad Shriners.

Mark’s primary interest as Alderman is to bring a fiscally responsible voice to the City Council and ensure we are pursuing policies that are in the best interests for all of O’Fallon, residents and businesses alike.
