Community Citizen Survey
The survey process will begin on the week of May 2nd, with pre-notification postcards mailed to 1,500 randomly selected O’Fallon households. Actual survey instruments will be mailed to the same 1,500 households the week of May 9, and a follow-up mailing will occur the week of May 16. To receive a representative sample of O’Fallon residents, the adult 18 years or older in your household who most recently had a birthday should complete the survey. All survey responses will remain completely anonymous. To make it convenient for residents, the survey may be returned by mail in the provided postage-paid envelope, or completed online at the website provided in the mailing.
In order to maximize response rates, each chosen household will receive the same survey twice. Please respond to the survey only once.
“If your household is chosen to participate in the survey process, please take a few minutes to fill out the form,” said City Administrator Walter Denton. “Your input is crucial as our elected officials plan for our present and future.”
The survey is being conducted by the National Research Center. The Center’s National Citizen Survey has been conducted in more than 350 jurisdictions throughout the United States. Therefore, responses from O’Fallon residents will not only be evaluated according to community geographic and demographic subgroups, but also in comparison to the benchmark database that represents the opinions of more than 30 million people. Results from the survey are expected in late July.
