Highway 50 Resurfacing Begins on July 10, 2017

NEWS FROM O’FALLON CITY HALL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

O’Fallon, Illinois West Highway 50, between Hartman Lane and Old Collinsville Road, will be resurfaced beginning Monday, July 10, 2017. It is anticipated that work will be completed in 6 to 8 weeks, weather permitting. All construction operations will take place during the night between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to lessen the impact on traffic.

“We kindly ask our residents to be patient and considerate during this improvement project,” said Mayor Herb Roach.

The road will remain open to through-traffic and access to all properties will be maintained, though occasional delays may be encountered.

The work will consist of milling and overlaying the existing pavement and will be completed by Christ Brothers Asphalt.

Current updates for this, and other construction projects can be found on the City’s website at www.ofallon.org under Quick Links, Construction Updates.
