O’Fallon Police Department Asking for Assistance in Investigating a Robbery at US Bank

NEWS FROM O’FALLON CITY HALL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

O’Fallon, Illinois – On Thursday, February 9, 2017 at approximately 1:11 p.m., the O’Fallon Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call of an armed robbery at the U.S. Bank, 400 S. Lincoln Ave. The suspect entered the bank flourishing a hand gun and demanding money. The bank clerks complied with the suspect’s demands and he fled the bank in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. THE SUSPECT REMAINS AT LARGE.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30 – 40 years of age, 6’ 0” tall, approximately 250 lbs., wearing a dark jacket, ball cap, and blue jeans. Preliminary reports reveal the suspect vehicle is a dark colored, mid-size SUV similar to a Dodge Durango or the like.

The O’Fallon Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance with investigating this crime.  If anyone was in the area at the time and believe they might have information, please call the O’Fallon Police Department at 618-624-4545, ext 0.

As a reminder, the suspect remains at large and should be considered ARMED and DANGEROUS.  Anyone sees the suspect or the suspect vehicle, do not take action but call 9-1-1 immediately.
