- Many Waste Management services can be utilized through their website such as starting/stopping service, scheduling bulk pickups, and more.
- Residents can also contact Waste Management via e-mail.
- Waste Management encourages residents to sign up for email and text alerts. Up-to-date service information is located on the Waste Management website.

Important Notes
- Waste Management is the exclusive provider of trash service for single-family residences located within the City
- Trash and recycling left outside of the containers will not be serviced.
- Additional containers can be requested from WM
- Missed pickups should be initially reported to WM.
- The City will coordinate any unique circumstances, issues not able to be resolved with WM, monitor service levels, etc.
- Collections may begin no earlier than 6AM
Included with Standard Service
- 1x Week Trash Pickup (Collection Route Map) - No personal containers/items outside of the contaier
- 1x Week Yard Waste Pickup - Max 12 personal containers/bags (safe weight for driver to handle), yard waste stickers available at City Hall
- Bi-Weekly Recycling Pickups - No personal containers/items outside of the container
- 1x Weekly 1 item - Bulk Item Pickup (List of common acceptable/unacceptable items) - Must be scheduled through WM Account or through customer service
Optional Services
- Extra container $2.50/mo
- Appliance pickup $25 per item
- Bagster drop off and pick up

Electronics and Scrap Metal Recycling
The City of O'Fallon will also hold Electronics Recycling Events throughout the year. The next electronics and scrap metal drive will be held 9am-12pm at Amelia Carriel Junior High School on Saturday, April 27th. This event will be ran by Power Recycling with the volunteer support of the O'Fallon Panther Band Boosters. The Band Boosters will be on-site and will accept donations.
Why does the City contract trash service?
The City currently contracts Waste Management as the exclusive waste hauler for all single-family residences with the City. We do this so that we can the best rate/service value for our residents through a competitive bidding process that we invite all area waste haulers to participate in. Contracting an exclusive waste hauler also provides many benefits such as less roadway wear/tear, environmental friendliness, reduces noise pollution, more efficient operations, monitored customer service levels, while helping to ensure an environment free from trash buildup in the City.
