Ned Drolet
Ned was first elected as a Ward 6 Alderman in 1999. In 2013, after 14 years, he chose not to run for re-election. Two years later he chose to run again and was re-elected in 2015.
Ned and his wife Mary have been O’Fallon residents since 1979. Their five children are all OTHS graduates. Upon Ned’s retirement from the Air Force in 1985 he started Gifts For Individuals, an awards and ad-specialty business. Their son John now operates the business. In 2009 the business was relocated to Highway 50, across from the OTHS stadium.
Since Ned’s Air force retirement he has been an active participant in the community. He was the Chamber of Commerce president for two years and Rotary president. He is a charter member of Main Street O’Fallon, now known as Downtown O’Fallon. He is currently the Downtown O’Fallon Organization’s treasurer and creator of the “Membership Directory of Businesses Located in the Historic Heart of Downtown O’Fallon”.
Although “officially retired”, Ned is busy representing his Ward 6 constituents and managing several residential and commercial properties he owns.
