City of O’Fallon Adopts 2018 ICC Codes

O’Fallon, Illinois  – Beginning on January 1, 2021, the City of O’Fallon will begin utilizing the 2018 ICC Codes to review and approve any building permits submitted for construction as well as all commercial and residential property maintenance inspections.  Applications for all permits submitted after January 1, 2021 will be reviewed and inspected under the newly adopted 2018 ICC codes.

“Building codes are so important to keep our residents and businesses safe,” said Mayor Herb Roach. “The City of O’Fallon values our builders and look forward to working together to build safe, efficient and appealing structures.”

To help facilitate a smooth transition to the updated 2018 International ICC Codes, the Community Development Department recently hosted an informational virtual seminar for local builders.  The purpose of the seminar was to provide an update on changes the 2018 codes will have on construction in the City of O’Fallon.
