City of O'Fallon Launches New Online Permitting Portal

NEWS FROM O'FALLON CITY HALL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

O’Fallon, Illinois The City of O’Fallon is excited to announce the launch of the Community Development Online Permitting Portal.  This new portal will allow applicants to apply and pay for Occupancy Permits online. The online portal can be accessed at https://www.ofallon.org/community-development-department/pages/welcome-to-the-community-development-online-permit-portal-0.

“Our City continues to be a leader instead of looking back,” said Mayor Roach. “This online portal will provide our citizens with access to applying for occupancy permits anytime and anywhere. The City of O’Fallon is working 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, and this new portal helps us be more efficient and accommodating.”

The online permitting portal is another improvement made by using the program, Cityworks. Cityworks is a GIS based software that facilitates processing permits, licenses, and inspections. This program integrates a new level of efficiency to Community Development along with the Public Works Department, Police Department, and Clerk’s Office. The Cityworks system streamlines the process by incorporating real time status information from the initial request, department reviews, inspections, fees, and renewals.

The City of O’Fallon will be expanding the portal in the future to offer additional permits and licenses to provide citizens and businesses with the best service possible. Future offerings from the portal will include Crime Free renewals, Building Permits, and Business License renewals. Be on the lookout for updates regarding these future enhancements!

Below you will find link to the City of O’Fallon’s website where you can access the portal. You will also find instructional videos to assist you in setting up an account to use the portal.
