National Citizens Survey Begins July 7, 2022

NEWS FROM O'FALLON CITY HALL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

O’Fallon, Illinois In the City of O’Fallon’s continuing efforts to receive valuable input from its residents and to improve customer service, a citizen survey will be conducted, with mailings beginning on the week of July 7, 2022.

“The City Council and I want to know what you think about our community and municipal government.  This survey will provide us with an accurate, affordable and easy way to assess and interpret our residents’ opinions about important community issues and City services,” said Mayor Herb Roach.

The survey process will begin on the week of July 7, 2022, with postcards and surveys mailed to 2,800 randomly selected O’Fallon households.  To receive a representative sample of O’Fallon residents, the adult 18 years or older in your household who most recently had a birthday should complete the survey. All survey responses will remain completely anonymous.  To make it convenient for residents, the survey may be returned by mail in the provided postage-paid envelope, or completed online at the website provided in the mailing.

In order to maximize response rates, each chosen household will receive the same survey twice. Please respond to the survey only once.

“If your household is chosen to participate in the survey process, please take a few minutes to fill out the form,” said City Administrator Walter Denton.  “Your input is crucial as our elected officials plan for our present and future.”

The survey is being conducted by the Polco and the National Research Center.  This survey is the largest of its kind in the United States. Therefore, responses from O’Fallon residents will not only be evaluated according to community geographic and demographic subgroups, but also in comparison to the benchmark database that represents the opinions of more than 50 million people.  Results from the survey are expected in Fall 2022.
