Service Recognition Day 2018

O’Fallon, Illinois At the April 16, 2018 City Council Meeting, Mayor Herb Roach and the City Council issued a Proclamation declaring April 18, 2018 as National Service Recognition Day in O’Fallon. Members of the local AmeriCorps and Senior Corps organizations were on hand to accept the Proclamation.

“AmeriCorps and Senior Corps participants address some of the most pressing challenges facing our communities, from educating our students, to fighting the opioid epidemic, to responding to natural disasters, to supporting veterans and military families,” said Mayor Herb Roach. “AmeriCorps and Senior Corps have continued to offer their services for 44 years at no cost to the social well-being of those served!”
