Veterans’ Day Programs on November 11, 2019

NEWS FROM O’FALLON CITY HALL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

O’Fallon, Illinois - Mayor Herb Roach and the O’Fallon City Council encourage the residents of O’Fallon to participate in the Veterans’ Day Program on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Veterans’ Monument, 737 East Wesley Drive and the Annual Veterans’ Day Parade, beginning at 2 p.m. at the O’Fallon Community Park.

The guest speaker will be Major General Deborah L Kotulich, Chief of Staff, US TRANSCOM. Participants will include Mayor Herb Roach, the O’Fallon District 90 & St Clare School 5th Grade Music programs; OTHS AFJ ROTC; VFW Post 805; Miss O’Fallon Hannah Bennion; Mr. Frank Martinez, Sr. Chief Petty Officer (Ret.), Veterans of WWII, Korean & Vietnam wars; Chaplain Jeromy Wells, Major, USAF, 375 AMW/HC, the USAF Honor Guard Rifle Team, among many others. The names of 17 newly inscribed veterans will be introduced at this time.

Please bring your own lawn chairs. Handicapped parking will be available near the Veterans’ Monument. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, 1111 E. US 50. In addition to the monument ceremony, the 35th Annual O’Fallon Veterans’ Day Parade will be held on Monday, November 11 beginning at 2 p.m. at the O’Fallon Community Park.
