O’Fallon Fire Rescue 125th Birthday Open House

NEWS FROM O’FALLON CITY HALL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

O’Fallon, Illinois – Mayor Gary L. Graham is pleased to announce that O’Fallon Fire Rescue will be hosting an open house to celebrate its 125th birthday on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the O’Fallon Fire Department Headquarters (1215 Taylor Road). The event is open to the public and all are invited to attend.

“I encourage everyone to come to the event,” said Mayor Graham. “This anniversary is a perfect reason to celebrate and reflect on the many brave men and women who have placed their lives on the line to protect us.”

The celebration will include a birthday kick-off ceremony at 11 a.m., with a limited amount of birthday cake and tours of the Fire Headquarters immediately following.

There will be grilled snacks and soft drinks available for purchase. O’Fallon Fire Rescue Community Supporter t-shirts will also be for sale; priced from $10-$20, depending on size. O’Fallon Fire Rescue asks that purchases be made in cash only, please.

Parking can be limited, so please consider carpooling, or parking at the O’Fallon Family Sports Park.

O’Fallon Fire Rescue was chartered in February, 1891. Since its founding, O’Fallon Fire Rescue has grown from a single fire station to four fire stations and over fifteen pieces of fire apparatus.
