Update from Ameren Illinois on Power Restoration Efforts

NEWS FROM O’FALLON CITY HALL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

O’Fallon, Illinois – Ameren Illinois has provided an update on their restoration efforts following the strong storms that hit O’Fallon on July 13, 2016.

Update provided by Ameren Illinois at 2 p.m. on July 15, 2016:

  • Total current outages in the City of O’Fallon: 420
  • Total number of customers restored in the City of O’Fallon: 2,823
  • 12 poles and 23 wires down in O’Fallon
  • 2,025 Ameren Illinois workers and contractor crews engaged in restoration work in in the O’Fallon Area

Ameren expects to restore the majority of customers by the end of the day (July 15, 2016). Some customers may need to get an electrician to make repairs to the weatherhead if it has been damaged or pulled from the home. Ameren will have crews working throughout the weekend to make reconnections.

Ameren has opened a mobile customer service center at the Mt. Carmel Church located at 10101 W. Main Street, Belleville.
