IV.    Item 1:     FSP Economic Impact Study by “Development Strategies”: $7,750“Feasibility Study”
Development Strategies will issue a contract providing impact analysis of the Family Sport Park.  The initial study will include current amenities and facilities.  Staff will seek a recommendation on total park build-out impact, as well.  $20,000 was budget in strategic planning line-item.    The initial proposal was $7,750.  Staff is scheduled to meet on November 17 with the lead principal on the project.

Item 2:  Game-On Sports & Global Connections
Game-On is a sports park Developer.  Game-On Sports and its strategic partners are interested in developing a tournament destination complex located at the Family Sport Park (FSP).   Game-On will develop a business plan along with a pro forma for the facility.

Certain improvements to the FSP would be required to make the facility suitable for tournament play.  In addition, privately financed improvements would be needed to provide amenities for the users.  This would be a public-private partnership for a world class facility.

Game-On would develop the complex for lease to Global Sports Inc (GSI) for an agreed amount of weekend tournaments.  GSI hosted 18 events that generated over 45,000 hotel rooms in another region. This consulting agreement would provide development plan for the FSP.  A contract is being developed.

ITEM 3:  Feasibility Update
Focus groups met with Ballard*King over a two days November 4 & 5.  21 groups were scheduled.   A Public Meeting was held from 6:30-8:30 with 33 attending.   Staff will receive information on a few additional contacts for Ballard*King’s study.
